the uke is no victim, i stopped pitying him the minute he literally sent the young seme to his DEATH just so he could get a quickie with his bf. idc how young he was that is unforgivable

i mean he’s still a victim and you can’t deny that because he’s a shitty person. i really dislike him rn especially cause he never apologized or tried to find the the younger “seme” but it still sounds horrible to depreciate yourself by forcing yourself to go years without a safe word when doing bdsm.

So we will ignore the kid blackmailing him? The seme was taking all his time, in result of that it generated a problem with the bf he had. On top of that i blame the mother of the seme, and all the adults, if there is domestic violence report it, don't let it scalate. The uke was a teenager at the moment, he shouldn't be responsible for a kid ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.

anyone who thinks that rio is at all to blame either hasn’t read the prequels or struggles with reading comprehension. but don’t take this as me saying that ritsu is in the wrong either, this is just classic case of bl miscommunication and a child who was neglected by ALL the adults in his life, it isn’t enough to just meet the physical needs of a child if you completely ignore how they are doing emotionally. rio was developmentally delayed as a child and the way the adults around him acted definitely didn’t help, he grew up in a VERY unstable household and literally started elementary school a year late. he was often left by himself even when he was young and even if there were many adults around him in body they were all so caught up in their own shit he was emotionally alone. couple that with all of the werecat shit he has to deal and then you get a very codependent insecure immature man child. although in rio’s defense, he at this point had been pretty clear that he wants to be with ritsu seriously, heck he even introduced him to his father. ritsu is the one running off making assumptions here NOT rio but this post is already long enough so thanks for actually reading this far lol

You are completely spot on. I'm surprised people hate Rio or compare him to his uncle...he's not at all. He also really does like Ritsu. It's just Ritsu is misunderstanding and wants to hear I like you back, and Rio hasn't had experience with normal couples who talk about mutual love with each other so he doesn't think it's needed, but to Ritsu it is. Just a misunderstanding. The whole Shingo thing was never serious, even he was confused about what he might feel but he doesn't actually want to have a relationship with him. It's just Shingo was the person who paid the most attention to him, but even he had someone more important to him since Rio was just an after thought.

I’m kinda confused by this comment. Yes, Rio’s parents divorced when he was young, but his family life seems stable afterwards or having his father and step father raising him, then his uncles as a second support system. I’m not sure where the comment about his being delayed comes from, but maybe I missed that in the original manga where he and his dad are introduced. But he was never shown being neglected— He stays with his father who dotes on him completely. He then chooses to hang out with his uncles because he has a crush on one, but he is always shown with adults who care about him. Instead just from reading this manga, it looks like Rio simply has a complex from being in love with Shingo and being jealous of Ei coming into the family and taking part of his father’s attention that had previously been solely focused on him.

I don't really agree with your comment, Rio's father may not be the best dad and had issues but he loves his son very much. He wasn't depraved of affection, or of anything for the matter since hes rich. I think his character came out of no where, but I'll blame it with his rebellious phase and get over it. Knowing how innocent he was before and seeing him now, is disappointing because he acts like Kei, even worse since hes using the other person as a substitute. You may think hes serious because he introduced Ritsu to his dad but its not really translating to the other person. I understand Ritsu's point, hes making a boundary so he doesn't get his hopes up in his relationship with Rio which is uncertain for him.

@Melfina_chan, you are right and i knew what you mean. It is just you see Rio problem in the line of 3rd people that stand for the parent view that are want their best for the child, but not many the best of parent can give their time and carring for the child. Maybe they can give money and some material needed and carring about their child that not in the eyes of the child needed.
And in this matter
@tiredandrarelysober is also right. He/She is just pin point the view in the eyes of child that needed some times with their family. Some times, a children need some sphycological needed that not many parent can see and give. Not just in the needed time, but also in their spare times, just like when you not work in sunday and you spend times not just with your spouse but also your child. So your bond with child will ticken and when you spend your times just in the present of your child playing. That is example what Rio and almost children needed for their growing phrase. But, in the some story of sakyou aya, there is not many this moment can his father made. His father, yes he is a best father but not the best of the best parent. He never actually spend his spare times with Rio.
I believe this is my view.
And sorry if my grammar or my word is wrong.
And thank you for read my comment.
So please don't fight over some different point of view.

idk why the people in this comment section are so determined to cling onto these antiquated japanese words that hold pedophilic origins when even japanese people don’t like using those terms anymore... and it harms the communities in question. like it isn’t that hard to just call it bl/gl?

The whole thing is that they aren’t Japanese terms. They’re Japanese words weebs understand and use wrong. The Japanese term for anything about mlm is boys love or bl. English speaking fans translated it to shounen ai since they know one word for boy and one word for ai. However it is not a term Japanese people use, they just say it in English lol. Saying shounen and shoujo ai is the way Japanese people basically also label shota and loli stuff. But of course there is the counter argument that these terms do in fact exist and are relevant in western Dan culture because they do have a universal meaning and understanding amongst non-Japanese fans. Words and language evolve so I’m not gonna tell people what to do. But it’s important to know it’s NOT a Japanese thing and if you go saying it to Japanese people or in Japanese spaces/communities you are saying something COMPLETELY different.

gotta be honest after doing a reread of this the first season was just.... so much better. NOT to say that the second season is at all bad or that i dislike the second couple (cause i don’t, they’re adorable), i just think that the writing in the first season was just SO strong like even the side characters had stories that made you cry and the maturity of the relationships made it feel so much more real you know?

Yeah, the time skip really threw me off, I was not prepared for the main couple to be completely sidelined. Made it really hard for me to warm up to the new couple, and the second part introduced so many new fantasy aspects that weren't even hinted at in the first. Giant blood titans, idea, hybrid lycans etc. I wish we had gotten more of the first couple after gok was changed into a vampire. It felt so rushed after that,

gotta be honest this started really strong but the main characters became unlikable pretty quick and it fell into all the usual annoying tropes. the author did try surprisingly to give minhee (one of the only 2 good characters) a good ending but it just felt really empty and out of place. this is like a 5/10 for me, sigh cause i had really high hopes too
i think the characters in this story are lovely but the ml being the king and the way the author is obviously going to make nina op really runs it for me ┗( T﹏T )┛ i wish just once that the ml was someone normal in these isekai webtoon d’or that the author went the family route since it’s pretty obvious that Nina and the saintess are sisters lol
?
Idk either ;^; i wrote something but it doesn't show it?
