Personally, I don't need to see her dump him and get with a new character for me to like this manga. I think seeing plenty of character growth where he can accept her independence and properly communicate his feelings would be enough for me. Seeing them both grow up and become equal partners who can properly communicate on an emotional and intellectual level is also satisfying.
