Can someone explain the plot? I dont get It. Is this world all a dream of ML?
my understanding is that it isn't necessarily a dream, but a simulation like an afk game or a game set on auto. the real version of the world ended bc god was brought into material reality and that brought the shadows, destabilizing the material of the world, which became more chaotic over time. meltier & the heroes trying to lock away the shadows was an attempt at binding the shadows & god to the world, and failing that ended the world as god left. the resources remaining after god left have been running countless simulations over time, in an attempt to find a way to either run the world without god, to create replacement to god, or to lure that god back. so basically, shane is the avatar of the sole player in a game that's running on its own. the system (all the little black sheep) doesn't actually know, but assumes the original shane cannot be returned home (his original form & name are dead).
it may also be related to the second law of thermodynamics (in a closed system, entropy increases, how heat transfers to cold body, heat/energy will be wasted; which wouldn't actually apply in anything but a novel way) and how the world is a closed system with simulations utilizing more power each loop, but overall from a finite energy bank and how shane is an injection of energy, which can influence the operation and change the result.
i think. maybe.
Cute but rushed ig
