I just read the novel and it was pretty good, you end up liking all the characters so yeah don't worry about the "official husband". Overall I'd give this a 7.5 out of 10. Here's why: (spoiler alert)
MC only admits he loves ML almost at the end and their relationship feels kinda empty, they don't truly develop much other than sex and cute scenes. The civil war plot was a nice change of pace but it wasn't all that well done since it was a time skip. If their relationship had a deeper connection this would've been a 8.5 out of 10, mostly bc the story isn't all that interesting (characters are shallow and so is the story).

First of all I couldn’t give a flying fuck about the second couple, wtf do I have to read about a shit ass character that SHOULDN'T have a redemption arc. Fuck that, give me the main couple side stories!!!
Second of all, although the main couple is cute and doesn't have any unnecessary drama it still feels kinda rushed yknow? Like they're adorable but I can't help but think that their relationship had no real development bc we didn't get to see much of their meaningful interactions of falling in love other than ML just thinking the MC is cute and the MC thinking that ML is loving and handsome
What the actually fuck was this? Sometimes I couldn’t tell if I was reading the past or the present. The witch friend was forgotten, the SON was forgotten (like father like son ig), the dialogues didn't fucking make sense, the plot didn't make sense, the seme is a big fucking trash, the seme gets on my nerves, all the characters get on my nerves, the vampire plot was simply forgotten (who was the guy that smiled at the last panel from the chapter Angelo was strangled??? I guess we'll never know ) and also WERENT THEY IN COLLEGE? WHAT DO YOU MEAN HIGHSCHOOL???? This is honestly the worst shit I've wasted my time reading
Crazy how this author's smut scenes are always so good, tbh one of the best in this site. Also idk if the dicks and holes are a redraw or if it's from the original illustrator but damn it's so good too

Idk their relationship feels kinda forced/rushed. We haven't seen a single chemistry outside their smut scenes bc that's all the scenes they have together. Their one true conversation was that time uke told him his backstory and even that felt like it was cut in half
