That's actually really good advice, an apology is only as good as how sincere it is, and you cannot sincerely apologise if you don't know why. Also, 100% truth about people who get mad with confronted with "do you know what you did wrong", is ok to be confused but blowing up at someone cause they asked if you knew why something was wrong is a huge red flag (in general, if your SO blows up to you for such things, maybe you should rethink that relationship)
