I BINGED THIS IN ONE SITTING, WHAT A BANGER STORY. this exceeded all expectations and truly lived up tp it's psychological tag, bro the panel of jun's malice reflection fr scared me and creeped me out, got shivers that was so good. wow, whatta story. mannn, what an interesting way to explore malice and human greed. I loved this, both characters insane but so genuinely in love w each other and yeonwoo never forces jun into anything, letting him willfully choose his destiny. they're both messed up chars BUT I just really like that there's no toxic manipulation nor a clear power imbalance, the closest thing being yeonwoo playing on jun's negative sentiments/true thoughts by hinting at how "fake" and "one-sided" the people around him are. I personally liked the reveal and ending, though I wished we had more background on the orgins of the "takers" seeing that they had originated long ago. furthermore, if yeonwoo can control hands, can jun too? seeing as they're powerful together but yeonwoo could control the hans when he was alone. ALSO, I'm perturbed that they left the crime scene like that. unless they plan on running away as prime suspects and living on the low, what they did was so risky
ESPECIALLY, since jun's friends were apparently posting about the party to social media. anyway, overall I really highly rate this, such a good psychological bls.
also ngl, lmao when taejun's "master" died. imagine dying and the last thing you see is your adopted son being railed. whatta way to go.
haegyung had his entire personal life destroyed and put his family at risk with his relationship with woojin. and it pisses me off that woojin acts so entitled and unsympathetic. haegyung's suffered the most from their relationship but woojin doesn't even bother to try understanding this or why haegyung is acting the way he is. like sir the whole world doesn't revolve around you??? like he'd only be redeemable if he apologises and actually learns some mfing sympathy
he wasn't aware that happened. He just found out his grandfather had caught the uke kissing him when he was sick. To Woojin, he just disappeared without saying anything for 8 years. Also, we can't forget the background Woojin comes from. He probably grew up in a strict household with no paternal love, where people probably kissed his ass to get that family connection. He probably grew up getting what he wanted. Does that make him a bad person, not necessarily b/c that's just the environment he grew up in & obviously was influenced by it. From his perspective, he had no need to understand or steep that low for someone who abandoned him. Again he didn't grow up in a loving household & I guess a lot of his friends approached him to use him, that's probably why he's so twisted & arrogant. I would even claim he's not aware that what he's doing is bad b/c that just how he grew up. He doesn't know how to properly express his feelings in a healthy way, he's expressing them in the only way he knows manipulating, forcing others to do what he wants. Obviously, this is not good, but this is gonna be your typical arrogant seme who did all that crazy shit for the uke they love. Ultimately i think the uke is gonna be a good thing for him. They both like each other & were forced to be separated
I see where you're coming from but at this point in the story, I simply just can't sympathise with woojin at all. maybe if we had more of his perspective/backstory and his character develops. I do agree his household is most definitely a factor in his twisted personality but even so, that doesn't excuse his actions for me and as we haven't actually been given full context of his backstory, I can't help but hate him. If he and haegyung are end game, like you said, I hope haegyung can influence him into being a better person/having a healthier mindset.
What actions are you bother by exactly? That he forced them to break up when that guy was a cheating asshole? That he’s being persistent when the uke won’t even talk to him & barely explained to him why he left him (hasn’t gone in full details, so seme doesn’t see to what extent his grandfather was threatening him). Obviously in the real world this would be annoying & someone might even ask for a restraining order, but this is yaoi. If it weren’t for Woojins persistence he wouldn’t have known his grandfather did that. Yeah that persistence can get annoying, but obviously for there to be progress that’s what it’s gonna take. Like we saw now the uke’s questioning wether he does still have feelings for him. Maybe leading to him admitting that he’s scared to fall in love again
Then again it’s been a while so I might have to re-read it b/c I can’t remember something awfully bad that he’s done to the uke? Has he raped him? As far as I remember he’s just being very persistence & even a bit touchy but the uke doesn’t try 100% to fully push him away in those moments if I remember correctly
I just dislike his overall treatment of haegyung, being persistent is one thing but woojin is also extremely aggressive and treats haegyung roughly in some panels. it just feels like to me that he doesn't treat haegyung with proper respect and treats the feelings of others lightly, he also never properly hears haegyung out. moreover, jungwook may be an asshole but that aside, I dislike woojin's resort to using his influential background to get his way and in turn blackmailing people. plus from my understanding, he had threatened jungwook before it was even revealed that he was cheating, simply because of his relationship with haegyung. imo, if woojin and haegyung were to be in a relationship at this point, I see nothing but a huge power struggle, at least with the way woojin is now. idk, maybe he'll change if haegyung were to reciprocate his feelings but that's just something we'd have to wait and see. honestly, my memory of the past chaps aren't that best so I can't recall any distinct incidences.
I just think there are healthier ways of going about this entire situation, which I guess wouldn't be true to the type of character woojin is but I'm also just simply sick of seeing the overly possessive/toxic seme troupe in bls. so I guess my opinion is somewhat biased. either way, agree to disagee, I understand that you seem to sympathise with woojin but at this point, I'm unable to. thank you for keeping this discussion civilised :)
No yeah i totally agree that woojin’s an arrogant asshole & it does get annoying sometimes ( hopefully will see in the future, if they do end up together the uke putting him in his place) Again this is where I’m hoping that the uke will be a great role model for him. his behavior I believe comes from the family background he comes from, hopefully he’ll notice what he’s doing is not working to get closer to the uke & changes his way slowly. But who knows will see
Yeah and totally get what you mean about getting tired of the overly possessive/toxic seme troupe. I find myself either behind that or a very shy seme, no in b/w ( ̄∇ ̄")
woojin x haegyung better not be end game. woojin is genuinely so unlikeable and the more chapters go by, the more I hate him and find him disgusting. he's such a selfish prick and haegyung deserves sm better. like sure woojin's hot but he's deadass the embodiment of every toxic ass overpossesive childhood friend that tries to steal the mc away from the love interest by ruining the things around them/making them reliant on them, AND I HATE that they keep setting things up like he's gonna remain to be the main love interest despite this. he's an asshole??? bruh, let poor haegyung move on and find someone worthy
sheeesh the psychological and thriller themes in this are SO GOOD. man, I'm hooked on this. I love ah-in sm, he's so genuinely smart and has been going about things really well and calmly, despite his situation. also, damn, did blondie plant ah-in as the murderer so he can't leave and has to be in hiding? ooooof
100% agree, I really love Ah-in as a character, and that he is actually intelligent and thinking things through (plus, he's so damn pretty on top of that (≧∀≦) ).
The suspect isn't Ah-in though, Seo Ilmo didn't frame Ah-in, but Jeong-Yeon (aka cheating ex / dog) - his last name is Shin (this was previously shown in the story, such as on Ah-in's phone when he was calling him) and he was shown on the news as the suspect.
And since they already consider him a suspect after he went missing, we can assume there was likely some evidence pointing to him found on the body (such as that knife with his fingerprints, possibly). So apparently, Seo Ilmo was planning to frame Ah-in's cheating ex this way from the start.

IMMACULATE STORY AND PLOT! it's so refreshing reading bls where the main characters actually talk things out and clear up misunderstandings without any petty drama. the plot is pretty simple but the characters are so cute and the story encompasses a lot of the struggles that'd be faced by a mlm couple/the overall struggle of being diff. from "societal norms" and deals with them in a mature way. I really liked the side couple as well, hisanaga's duality is adorable. I WISH WE HAD MORE.
10/10 recommend especially if you want a wholesome read. not a single moment throughout this had me stressed and all the characters deal with their issues in a healthy way, which is honestly hard to find in bls sometimes. ALSO, the art style is stunning!! I loved everything about this!
