The amount of mental and emotional fortitude to read this story is immense. When both main characters suffer from deeprooted trauma, the readers can absorb the pain and suffering that they went through as if they were in their shoes. Both Cirrus and Skylar were failed by everyone. No child should've gone through that great deal of trauma, especially Cirrus where every adult basically abandoned him even his own scum father. Their childhoods molded them into what they've become. Their upbringing wasn't the best so all their thoughrs and actions aren't really right nor wrong. They're just teenagers that maneuver through life in their own way. I just feel so much for them. Their growth towards the series was really beautiful. I love how they both acknowledged their mistakes to try and make things better. Lots of love for these tragically beautiful souls. Also I LOVE CANDY SO MUCH.
