because "youth" is written with a character than can also be read as "blue" and youth/your youth usually associated with like the blue summer skies and like the freedom of your summers when you're young kinda but gaku says his is "spelled" with gold because he associates his happy freedom and youth with the color of himari's hair (gold/yellow/blonde) i think? not 100% sure
