I read this all in one sit and let me get this out of my system: this story broke my heart. Really, i know the most obvious feelings one should have while reading is anger bc of the trash emperor and his trash mistress but I was mostly sad. It's sad to see how a childhood friendship, a mutually respectful partnership, turned into this mess. Sad to watch two people who cared for each other gradually lose respect for the other part. And I think it gets even sadder when u realize this is something that happens in real life all the time. Beautiful storytelling and also gorgeous art. I love this
