The reason why this is considered worse then Pearl Boy, is because the grape didn't happen between the main couple, it was them against the world, a relationship we could root for. Okay, the ending in pearl boy isn't satisfactory. All hell breaks on this guy (mc) and he's tortured & graped. Very gruesome. In the end He loses his memories and we are supposed to be okay with all the sufferings he had went through and just let it be. His mental health must be so bad. His journey in the whole manhwa is pure torture is what I meant. I know romanticizing grape is bad. It wasn't romanticized here though. It was only from the ml's pov that's why it didn't look horrendous or disgusting. But I get it's going in the cliche direction.
