I know the appeal of simple domestic housewife life romance mangas but this one does SUCH AN AWFUL JOB, it gave me PTSD with how the demon king always reduced a wife's job to household chores, cooking and bed warmer. The story would've been so much better if it showed the hero blossoming into a reliable young man contemplating on his past mistakes and treating the demon king better. Making the demon king realise his worth in hero's life is more than just chores and sex. Like when the demon king asked if hero's happy with him he goes "yeah, you cook for me, you clean for me and being with you is fun (when they literally only fuck cuz there been no dates to have "fun") like I was screaming throughout!!!
If anything, the demon king should've been the one dying so that the hero would have to step up and take care of demon kingdom whilst looking for a way to revive his wife. It'd let him learn how important the demon king was to him and it'd show us that the hero cared about more than just burying his dildo in the demon's honeypot.
