Its one of those stories where if you cant really pay attention to the plot you immediately stop understanding.. and it doesnt help that the smut scenes last for like 3 chapters. Took male 5 reads to get the hang of it

Yess because everyone else in the comments at the time highly recommended a reread and just ignore the smut scenes if you want to understand it more. Before that i only reread twice thinking i was the delusional one for not understanding. but I totally get why you dont want to reread it.

I hate that Cain wasn’t end game. I’m balling my eyes out because it Wasn’t Cain. How could you do this. Cain was literally perfect. But how the main character was expressing his emotions about it’s hard to make the right decisions is exactly how I’ve felt my whole life. Ngl, reading those few chapters made me so sad & it felt bittersweet.
