I don't rlly like the author, but i have to admit it, the art is rlly pretty.. and the colors... Its such a candy to the eye..

Omg sorry, didnt expected someone would be curious lmao
Well, it's just her previous works are.. problematic. Romanticizing rape, seeing it as some kind of norm, normalizing abuse between main couple (byul' parents). It left bad taste in my mouth. Portraying traumatized character as annoying brat who should be "put in his place" ect ect.
Don't get me wrong, I READ full story a few times, bcoz I feel in love with the mc (I don't remember his name sorry... Byul' mom lol) and feel the need to protect him in comments and defend his honour lmaoo, BUT the more I read it the more I found it problematic.
Her work is one of the most popular bl manhwas, it's sort of.. classic, right? And it pains me knowing how many hurting themes she put into her work.
Crimes are forgotten just bcoz the characters are hot, god, they're not even acknowledged!! I could go on and on abt why it feels wrong, but I trust everyone has their own morals and know difference between fiction and real life.
I'm not saying writing abt such things is bad. We all love some good, toxic story. The difference is how they're portrayed and how author views them. And well, analyzing her previous work left me with that feeling towards her as an artist
Hope y all get my point
To be fair - before Courtney joined royal family, one mistake WOULD destroy everything. It's no wonder why she's so cautious and fixated abt perfection.
But it seems they will talk!!!!! Yippee!!
