Basically the mc, Jintae and Rohe are immortals, from what Iāve understood they were labs subject that escaped and lived a long time.
Our MC forgot most of his memories because he was manipulated by forgetting the bad memories, and each time Jintae and prob Rohe simulate the cultās fire again and again to restart a new life.
The last 10 chapters are basically those forgotten memories of the mc.
What happened in those chapters is what happened in the past, but each time Jintae basically made our mc suffer like a dog all day, what a dick. When MC went crazy or tried to escape or did some shit, he always ended up getting his memories erased.
Jintae has a strange obsession with himā¦and he is CRAZY.
And from the last chapters it seems like the āinnocentā Hyop, his con man, is apparently Jintae?!? The dude that was supposed to be dead from the incident in the car, in this new ālifeā after his memories has gotten erased, this time by Jintae himself

I think you are confusing Jintae with director Joon something (sorry, except for Jintae I am so bad with their names), the one at the start chasing mc, because he helped a woman escape after she robbed, what I think it was, her bossā jewels (he is also the same guy from chapter 1).
Actually the director have also connection with our mc, he is on the road for revenge, which became obsession towards our mc. Since MC was part of the reason why his parents died and accumulated so much debt.
Jintae is basically the brother of Seontae, the young boy that Mc and Hyeop went to, when they were escaping from the director.
From the lasted chapter we finally got more infos, and I honestly believe Seontae is actually Jintaeās son.
In the lasted chapters, Jintae did reveal that in one of the many reset memory life, he fell in love with a woman and had a child.
In the current reset memory, Jintae remembered everything after he got stabbed in NYC, after MC provoked a dude in the club.
But since he is deeply obsessed with MC, instead of resetting immediately their memory with Rohee ability, he decided another thing, which I didnāt get either.
Anyway while Jintae, Seontae, and MC were in the Car, the brake didnāt work and they crashed to avoid the train. I do blame Seotae, because he probably saw that the two of them wanted to leave for america and leave him in Korea, or he is equally obsessed with MC.
Anyway, Jintae was supposed to be dead, which is why MC changed a bit. Thatās the whole situation we found in the beginning of the story.
And now is look like Jintae wasnāt ded at all
Also before all this revelation, we did meet Rohee in the current timeline, but MC doesnāt remember him, because Jintae was the one erasing his memory in the last erased memory. He was jealous of Rohee and wanted to be the one in control this time
Itās was great until he went back to Alice after they started dating and ācateredā to the guests and after what the other guy did
Not to mention complying with the other guy's demands like that...like i get it was blackmail but he looked like he was enjoying it
