There is a limit to how much i can feel bad for the MC and its past that. Like i was mad at the bully but now i just get mad at the MC because he continues to let this shit happen. I thought he would learn to be smarter but i guess not.

People don't understand not all of us have the money to spend on chapters no matter how much we want to support. When the people who have money and go broke and see it from the people who don't have money side come talk to me. When you have the money to spend its so easy for you to criticize. So what are we supposed to do not read this wonderful story cuz we don't have the money for it. I will seize any opportunity if handed.

    Anonymous October 9, 2017 7:29 am

If you don't have the money: Don't read it. It's a basic concept. The author earns their money through the manhwa. People readin it for free means no money for the author either.

Be honest. You got no money either so you read this for free too right? 'Cos why are you here in a free to read site?

So better said: People who can afford it shouldn't read for free! 'Cos people w/o money doesn't matter if read it or not for free either way the author won't earn money from the people w/o money to support them. So it won't make any difference.
If I can buy a copy of my own I don't need to read it for free anymore. But if I can't afford the rest I take my chances when it's available for free. Hoping to buy my own copy of my favs when able to, even though it takes years.
If I didn’t read it before I wouldn't have thought of buying it in the 1st place 'cos don't wanna buy what I don't like and waste money while I could use that money spend into other much better one.
If I was rich then that won't be much of a problem. Rich people just spend w/o need to look at the price tags.
But the rest have to watch out what we buy or regret it.

Hardly anyone is rich, the majority is middle class. The issue with uploading licensed manhwa is that it enables people who can afford it not to purchase. In the end it's the author's loss. I've purchased some manhwa I like but I can't afford to purchase them all. Still, I think it'd be better if they weren't here. There's so many unlicensed manga, that without translations I could never read, and licenced manhwa for free legally. With so much to read, why do I need the one's I can't afford for free?

Lezhin also has the first chapters free to read. The prologue, chapter 1 and chapter 2 have always been free. In addition to that they have promotions where more become free. Last week up to 4 was free. So the chance to try it out is already there.

That's what I meant! People who can afford it shouldn't read free manga. But all I see in comments are "don't have money, don't read for free" kind of speach. Never to those who can actually afford it.

But still people come here and read for free, us included. (I only start reading for free 4 years ago). Personally I prefer physical copy over digital. But I can only buy 2 titles a time at my local store.
(I stopped reading Bungou Stray Dogs for free 'cos they finally available in my country and I plan to buy all 12 volumes. Saving up for Ten Count as well when available in my country. So manga that aren't available in my country I won't read for free, unless can't afford it just yet)

Lots of manga are not available in my country especially the genre BL/Yaoi. Buying it online will cost me double or more than the initial cost with international taxes. (Some countries got cheaper currency than others). Also don't own any payment methods online, but bank transfer. (Bank transfers would have additional cost as well for using the service)

Lots of people got the privilege of borrowing mangas/manhua/manhwa from friends. That too is reading for free. So the author won't get any money for that either.

Either way it will always be the author's loss. If want to make more money they should make it available for all countries. But then again not all countries would accept access to GAY/Smut contents.

@Lezhin. I prefer not to make another account. Got lots of other accounts to take care off. Didn't even want to make a mangago account either, but stuff happened. I can't afford buying coins anyway especially in my currency. ( Which is not $ nor £ )
But since it's here I'm reading it for free. If it was taken down, that would be a loss for me. But that's the way it is and should accept it's gone.
Still the author won't get any money from me if I read it or not, 'cos there is no money to spare. It's not even available in my country. If I never saw it online I wouldn't even know that author even exist.
    If it wasn't available here I wouldn't even know Lezhin exist ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

If free to read manga sites won't be available in the 1st place, I won't be sad of not able to read them all since can't afford that luxury. I wouldn't even know them, besides existing mangas and authors at my local store. Still most authors won't get my money since can't buy them all.
So authors income only comes from people who can afford.

BTW I couldn't even afford having internet. Only have internet 4 years ago. So most of the money goes to keeping internet alive (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

To me free manga reading sites right now is like reading free books in the library. If I like a book I would buy my own copy when able.

People who can afford it but read free aren't as vocal but there's a lot of those types of people too.

Reading for free (by sharing/borrowing purchased copies) is not the author's loss because each copy has either been paid for or approved by the author/publisher to distribute for free. When you borrow from a library/friend someone paid for the copy and was allowed to share it, correct? Even libraries offering ebooks for borrow had to pay for each copy they give out. It would be illegal for a library to purchase a single ebook and give out unlimited copies. So if you and I wanted to borrow a book(or ebook) from the library we'd have to take turns or the library would have to buy 2 copies. Sometimes libraries even have to repurchase ebooks because the purchase only covers a limited time or they'll repurchase books as they wear. In addition some libraries pay authors based on how often the book is checked out. Compare that to mangago, which gives out unlimited copies for an unlimited amount of time without paying for any copies or getting permission to do so.

I like you for being so straightforward... about value of things that the "must buys" and manga availability in a country. Cause you don't buy something that you will regret later.... Just like any "want object in mind" like make up... Why do people see reviews of make up gurus??? To actually know if it is worth the splurge and it worth their money...

    I admit though...
Yeah, because of ruckus of authors not writing because of illegal content... I started to buy, some chapters (4 is max per manga) in lezhin, of what I read... for example: like wlate, a man like you, window through window. (cause I am not rich and just got an online debit card because of an app and not from a bank w/c might be expensive).

But sometimes, you ran out of extra resources (money) and you need to proiritize things better... and now I am just happy that I could see this one cause this gives me motivation honestly..... I am planning to buy some chapters of this too if I damn passed my exam (like big time pass) on Monday next week, med school is tough and kinda makes you spend on
Printing for study material, study tools and contributions and etc... and sometimes like it is hard to budget the limited resource you have....
I will buy things for reward of myself for trying...

And also about manga availability and such.... believe it or not... I have never heard of any yaoi manga or even shounen ai that is readily avaialble for purchase in my country (not second hand).. Philippines is pretty conservative and very traditional..... and peso to dollar is freaking expensive.... 500 pesos is huge amount here and try to convert that.... you can't barely buy stuff that is imported UNLESS you got thousand of pesos to spend...

I believe that instead of ranting that this manwha should not be here and such.... Just encourage people to buy some chapters just for support.... and extend help if they need some... I don't know of other countries but if that free reader is from philippines... I will teach him/her how to buy chapters from lezhin in a cheaper way possible...

Isn't it so that most of translators group has bought their own RAWS to translate and share them to their "friends"? (So that would be not the Author loss either since it has been purchased) Some of them got permission from authors too. Some don't. But we don't know who got permission and who don't. So they should respect authors wishes yes? So it's only a bad thing if it was against authors wishes.

But that's not the point. The point is more why people are angry to other people for not buying their own copy while they themselves visit free manga readings site.
It just show that people are weak to temptation.
We all buy what we can and read for free what's available. We can't buy 2 millions + titles (and some can even have over 26 volumes). So we all choose what and who we support

Libraries buy the copies 'cos they can afford to buy them. When they can't afford it anymore they have to close business. It's better that libraries doesn't even exist in the world, 'cos hundreds of people read them for free, still authors won't get the money from those people only from libraries. The outcome of the salary would stay the same unless those people reading for free in libraries would start giving donations.

To change all this, is it not better to start by one selves by not visiting mangareadings sites to read them for free instead to complain to others what they can and cannot read?
We can't stop the ever growing internet. All we can do is giving a great example.

If you know you shouldn't be reading for free then don't come here reading for free yourself

What counts right now is that at least we still buy mangas while we can when available in your country. We are all illigal here right? So no point in actually saying to others all that. They should know it by now. Yet we are all here together: People who can afford and people who don't right?!

Humans are very contradicting creatures. They know they shouldn't, They push their ideals on others yet they go against their own ideals. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ And I'm human too, no exception.

I'm here 'cos I want to read mangas for free what I'm not able to buy, nor are available in my country (ESPECIALLY Shounen Ai/Yaoi. They only start selling a handful of BL 2 years ago). And when I'm able to buy some mangas I would happily buy them. But unfortunately most of my favs NOT available in my country. So the only way to still read them is here.

I never knew about manga nor anime until I was 18 years old. Back then I didn't even got internet until few years later. So I only bought mangas that I know of from animes I like that was shown on TV.
Now that I got internet -about 4 years ago- I start to know more mangas and anime thanks to reading/seeing it for free. My love for them grows even more and bought more titles even those who doesn't even have anime at 1st.

If free mangareadings sites didn't exist, if scanlator groups didn't exist, if internet didn't even exist I wouldn't be buying more mangas. I only buy what I know and like and can afford. I don't wanna waste money on something I would regret buying.

Yup that's a better way of dealing things: "Just encourage people to buy some chapters just for support.... and extend help if they need some... "
At least you still try to buy what you can and teach others in positive way instead of being negative to others.

If you can afford coins in Lezhin go ahead and buy them (⌒▽⌒)

The fault are to those people who knows themselves they can afford it yet they don't buy.
If those people who knows they should go buy coins, but complain to others in a negative way, to those who can't afford, they themselves shouldn't be reading here for free either.
They should stay away from this type of sites. 'Coz why are they here? Well the same reason as any others: They buy what they can and read for free what they can't afford YET.
(Unless you are of those people who can afford, but won't buy it anyway)

The purchase of raws still does not give permission to post it online. Most translators do not have permission to translate. Authors with contacts under publishers cannot give permission to scanlators. Of the groups that do get permission the majority are from authors who's work is entirely free in the original language (not too many of those are scanlated). Btw this is a copy of the official English translation. There was no scanlation group involved. I'm certain if anyone asked the author they'd say it was not allowed.

Authors don't get upset that people are reading their work without paying for it(say from a library). However they do have a problem when copies that have not been paid for are given away. If 3 people read a single copy from a library there is no loss because the author/publisher has been paid for the single product they sold, the 1 book. When sharing mangago unlimited copies are, read all without permission or payment. Even the person who bought the original does not have the right to mass distribute it online. It's like reading a book purchased and gifted by a friend compared to reading a book stolen from a book store. In both examples you'd be reading a book for free but the author only lost payment from the stolen book. I don't expect anyone not to read what's here but unlike a library it does cause damage. That's all I'm saying.

Sorry, if you still can't understand I don't know how else to explain it.

Guys, no matter what your reasons are, most of the Authors have already expressed their hate towards those who read and distribute their works illegally. It’s not only you who do not have money, this author does not have money, too. Lezhin is a bad company, their artists are underpaid, they mistreat them, overwork them, make them pay too much when they can’t meet their deadline. They are not thankful to see their hardworks for FREE on the internet even if the illegal readers appreciate their works.

My point here is not to attack the illegal readers/distributors, my point is, there’s no point in arguing over this matter or justifying why you read here. Take it like a man that you are hated by the author and try not to get hurt when there are people who are saying things against illegal distribution and readers. Or actually, just enjoy what is served to you, try to ignore comments such as, and try to support the artist in any way you can.
