I don't get how people don't like the first couple, I think they are so wholesome. Also they clearly respect each other and this upcoming angst isn't directly caused by either of them. That being said, I won't deny, I'm a little nervous on how the Author will choose to resolve it, I have been disappointed many times by the same plotline before.

The only way my brain is processing this story is by convincing myself that this alien has multiple personality disorder to the extreme, he learned how to control them and split off but can still use them for tasks and manipulation.
