The English and French term odalisque derives from the Turkish 'oda', meaning "chamber"; thus an odalisque originally meant a chamber girl or attendant. In western usage, the term has come to refer specifically to the harem concubine.
I knew this was gonna be risque just from the title. Is the FL doing well so far guys?? I'd hate to read a story about an abused FL + doormat ╥﹏╥
I think they used the word odalisque to represent the art the Europeans made of the concubine which looked a lot like what she posed for (let's be honest an odalisque isn't worthy of being described as an art piece, it was nothing more than a weird mix of porn and Orientalism, a fetishization of women they never met, and thaugh they could even exactly as they wanted just because of their " exotic origins ")
He wasn't even at fault and yet he said "It's all my fault. Stop crying." ╥﹏╥ Callisto, the man that you are. You were a fucking jerk at first but you're redeemed now. I love youuuu Penelope X Callisto FTW
Ines was loved beyond words by these two men. I hope she can brush off the evil that is the crown prince from her memories soon. She was not at fault, she was not unloveable, she was not defective. She is and will always be a beautiful and strong person
