Spoilerssss
They got stood up so they ate the snacks in the waiting room. They got scolded by the butler but Growe imposes his noble inimidating vibe thing and even demands they go home via decent carriage. Growe also sneaks out the potion to give to Ennid. Ennid finally breaks into tears awwww. Growe also cooks for Ennid and Ennid is so touched he cries again because the last time he had a hearty meal with a companion was during his academy. He also recounts how much oppression he suffered just by being a lowly commoner in the academy. Growe grows more fond of Ennid and finally figures out he cant be an enemy accomplice. He continues to simp for our mc hahahaha and then helps him out deal shrewdly with their province lord (who turns out to be a young man)
Thats only how far the raws got.... Its so funny how bad Growe fantasizes about Ennid's past "lovers" as he imagines Ennid is still gay!

The heck?! Keeping up appearances with your brother is not even preventing you from the most dreadful thing!!! Thats so dumb.. I know she got trauma but like, thats so pointless!

I agree, and if I remember correctly, before she got reincarnated, her modern day family abused her too. So in this life and her last one all she knows is abuse. With her brother, he's a lose cannon that's easy to displease and when he gets triggered the punishment is worse for her. She doesn't know how to fight back or have anyone in her family to turn to, so all she can do is act like a doll and pretend to be happy with him. And because of this, she doesn't know how to accept help either. She thinks getting abused and being bulimic make her unattractive and dirty so she thinks the only way to keep Iz around is to hide everything. It's really tragic.

The raws are now in the redemption "light at the end of the tunnel" part. But i cant feel any joy from their relationship... the chronic rape of Geom has taken away any sensuality of their lovemaking now. I would have preferred if they showed a still romantic but nonsexual (yet) development for a few years between the two. But the marathon of gangbangs and the author depicting Geom as a "pretty" sex slave through all those depraved chapters.... you just cant erase that as you read their supposedly "pure" newfound relationship.

For a lot of people who were chronically sexually abused, sex is actually the best cure for them. That saying of fighting fire with fire didn't come about without merit. While it's definitely important for Geom to feel safe and secure outside of sex his biggest issue is dealing with the intimacy of sex and learning that it's not a currency. The only way to do that is to have sex with someone who is doing to with him purely for love and affection and expecting nothing in return. Being rejected in a sexual manner could be potentially devastating to his psyche. He's literally used that and had been taught to use that his whole adult life in order to get what he wants and to survive. To have no goal attached to it can leave him fumbling and lost. So having a sexual relationship with the right person can help him cope with that trauma and rework the way he views sex altogether over time.

Can someone explain how he "won" the bet? What was the bet????

MC and alpha made an agreement that they will be friends with benefits but if alpha fall in love with mc then mc will leave him and alpha can't stop him......something like that. That is why alpha said to mc that he can't break the agreement on his own but I think mc still didn't know that alpha started to developed feeling for him.

Hmmm idk... this whole traumatized writer's block arc is too sweeped under the sex and smut. Like, I can't really imagine Hana as that grand of a writer since we are only "told" of it. There has not been any facet in Hana's development that has been explored where Hana likes books, stories, let alone writing... it's like the author decided to add this "quirk" to Hana but is unable to expand on it...

Oh I beg to differ, since chapter one we know about it. The author put some efforts to talk about it frequently.
Here are some examples :
- She took literature classes and we know she came back after a break.
- She didn't want to talk to other people and left immediatly when a guy from her class recognized her for being the winner of the literature prize.
- Later that guy confessed that he took the same classes as her to meet her. He said her book changed his life and he called himself her first fan. She cried a lot saying Thank you.
- Her teacher asked her to translate her book but she refused, saying she didn't feel it was hers anymore. The teacher looked at her with pity.
And so on and so on. There are a lot of reminders throughout the story. It's her deepest wound. I hope Lux will finally be able to offer her some confort and help her heal this trauma.
Story is trash. Fl is weak and dumb. Ml is nothing without the duke title and being handsome. Tbh, He looks like a formula uke from yaois HAHAHAHAHAHA
Lol how is she weak and dumb? Please consider her circumstances
She is weak and dumb not because she is subjected to the dickhead Duke but because she is constantly making the worst choice. Why would she seek him out so many times for her glasses? Because they were an important gift? Sure, but you'd go as far as to enter a lion's den when you're a weak little insignificant thing just for that? She could've avoided him and that would've landed her in a better situation but she constantly made the worst possible choice at every turn
I dont get how readers of the novel praise this so much. Almost all throughout the chapters, she despises the ml so much... then after the war, she suddnly loves him...
ALSO, SHE BROKE OFF HER ENGAGEMENT WITH KYLE FOR THE SHALLOWEST MOST CLICHE REASON.. (the mother)
So yeah, i wholeheartedly agree that this syory is just a series of her making the dumbest decision to fall into ml's twisted playing of her... she says she "hates" it, then does a 180 near the end.
Dumb dumb dumb story. One of the most unlikable fl!
Ey calmate, you just spoiled alot. This isnt the novel.
Dont know if you are refering to the novel (havnt read it), but she literally went through a bunch of bird nests to find the glasses first. Asking the duke was the last resort. Also the glasses were not a present but she worked hard to get them and it seemed like it took a while before she could actually buy them. Glasses were a privlage back then that the poor didnt have.
P.S im not a fan of the duke but its a well written story and the art is absolutely insane...
I'm 100% pro Kyle </3 but it's clear that she's not gonna settle for comfort
