It’s a weird thing when you idolize someone like that, but it makes sense he’s confused since his relationship with his wife is not normal. Yanagi could’ve just asked rindo out before amane was in the picture, but instead rindo is his muse and his idol and he never rly understood what he actually wants with rindo.
Besides I think many of us do the same thing with characters for eg, you wanna see them and watch them do everything and they’re yours, but also if it was irl you wouldn’t necessarily pursue them frfr.
