    I don't think mr choi in the past was the head of the tribe, I think he was just minjaes student in the past when he was a priest

    I think he was both! he was student of Minjaes (when he was young) and the head of the tribe since the guy with pink hair was calling him “my chief” and he was setting on a chair surrounded by tribe’s men while they were doing Minjaes and Woochan wed ceremony, and the man who shoot the arrow was likely one of his men.
