Okay, so I MLTed it so it might not be completely right but, he’s going to a psychologist because when he was younger he was kidnapped and kept locked up during that time. He’s really scared of dark places still and gets panic attacks when he’s in those places. He’s going to a psychologist to help with that. The reason he was kidnapped was because some people had tried to kidnap the ML when they were in high school I think? It could have been when they were younger but I can’t remember. The MC and ML didn’t know each other well back then but the MC had saved him for the attempted kidnapping, but the ML was already injured, so he carried the ML to the hospital but the ML couldn’t remember this. After he saved the ML he lured the kidnappers away and was taken instead. But when the ML woke up he couldn’t remember the person who saved him and saw that the guy he is currently with (the one that he’s been with in the series so far) was with him and thought that he was the one that saved him. He didn’t know our MC saved him and didn’t know he had been kidnapped. Eventually our MC is saved from the kidnappers but he had to miss like a year of school and when he came back the ML was already with that other guy. No one told the ML that our MC was the person that saved him so he never knew.
