I’m getting ready to start this. I don’t see a tragedy tag so I’m assuming (hoping) this follows a Disney-esque style story and not the tragic real story of the Little Mermaid book, right?
Well, I’m on chapter 12 and it appears to be taking the tragic path. Yeah, I know it may still be a great story, but I’m going to put it on my list to read for now. It’s not like I don’t appreciate these fairy tales. They’re awesome even if tragic. It’s just I've read and cried over this one when I read the book. I don’t need to read the same tragedy twice.
“She was just a servant. She’s probably already dead.”
Seriously?!? Once she served her purpose, discard her like garbage and not another word about her. A$$holes
It can't be helped. In their world morality is not so important. Well of course if it was some maid close to their master she wouldn't be abandoned like that. For example the one who served Qiuyu for her two lifes. I think their way of thinking is if it's to achieve my goal some lowly maids can be sacrificed, they are not close or anything. Just some faces in the crowd. I think it's just like that for everyone. I mean if you were to choose between someone you love and some stranger, it's obvious you would let the stranger get killed to save your loved one. Of course you would feel guilty because that person died because of you but you will just keep living. And most of all for someone of royal family like the prince, the servants are just pawns, it just logic that exist in there. We can only accept the fact they didn't gave a damn about that servant girl. Maybe they planned to make her a proper grave later on, who knows. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Has anyone seen the movie Frequency with Dennis Quaid? It opens up with a policeman who’d found his deceased father’s Ham radio in a closet. At the same time his city is experiencing a phenomenon of an aurora borealis. His father, Quaid, was a firefighter who died a hero saving people when the son was around10 years old. Flashback to the 60’s where we find Quaid playing with his Ham radio and gets on the same frequency as John, his now adult son. The aurora borealis is taking place in both time settings. They become radio buddies, eventually realizing who each other are.
John was able to stop his father’s death, but the domino effect changed everything, including his mother being murdered by the Nightingale killer. A serial killer who murdered nurses in the 60’s and the case John is currently working on. Every time something changed in the past, John experienced a rush of changed memories.
Lol, I’m so sorry I ended up writing all that. All I meant to say is this story reminds me of this movie. I’m on chapter 72 and looking forward to the rest. AND if you haven’t seen Frequency, watch it. It’s AWESOME!

I have no brothers, but I have 3 sisters. We all had secrets about each other that we used as bargaining chips, lol. But let some outsider mess with any one of us, they had to take us all on. The author understands siblings very much
