For me what Kitahara was trying to do was ask Inoue... What he was going to do now? Do you love me? Do you wanna be with me? Would he play it safe for the sake of his vanity and pride or would he fight for his own freedom and happiness?

Kitahara is a playboy. He is not used to been dragged into other families drama. The people he normally goes after are playdates with no string attached. None were serious. Now...he is in love and the guy is a divorced family man.

I'm not justifying what Kitahara told Kana "your dad has a lover don't visit him anymore" he was been childish. Soon enough he knew he messed up. Later when Inoue finds out what happend he admited his wrong doing but he also brought to Inoue a good argument "What were Inoue's intention after kissing & sleeping together.. were they lovers? Did Inoue loved Kitahara?" This made Inoue figure out what he really wanted from this "relationship".

This is why Inoue response was "You, of course!" he choose Kitahara over pride... this meant he choose to give his happiness a chance. Kitahara even says "A father should say something more appropiate. I have loved you for so long" and Inoue says "so.. steal me from my wife and daughter."

This clearly means he is NOT going to cut ties with his daughter or abandon her that wont happen. Kitahara knows that Inoue is a good father. Inoue said that he is ready to LOVE and move on from his past life just like his exwife and his kid did. Inoue deserves to be a little selfish.

Now that Inoue found someone he should be able to re take his love life back and set some bounderies with his daughter. Perhaps he will be confident to tell his daughter I do have a lover and you can visit me but at least call me first.. you know dad also needs privacy. LOL!

BTW... having a guy ready to rape Inoue... in a orgy (at the office of all places) just make him pay or "revenge" was totally unnecessary. It was the only thing I didn't like.

I can really picture this happening during WWII.

Either yaoi or regular couples every time I read this type of stories I always wonder how many people went throught this type of situation. It is so heartbreaking.

In Japan the bromances or strong frienship runs very deeps so I imagine this type of situations happened more often than people try to admit. Remember now days even with all the issues people can be more open but back in those days.. believe me it wasn't that easy.

That goodbye.. that night of were Aoi and Take slept together was so meaningful. It was a pact of love their last string of hope that at least they could be together cause they didn't knew if they would ever see each other again. The longing on both parts was so passionate.

People that judge Taka for not going or writing back to Aoi telling him he was alive. He had his motives. When at war the people around you suddenly become your family so I guess it became his life mission to find the lady. He wanted to become better for Aoi... and he didn't even knew if Aoi was still alive and if he was alive he figured out he already moved on. That makes total sense to me. It is painful to read it but it does make sense.
