yes, the Emperor really was the one who killed the mother and i believe the reason was simply because he hated the Imae people.
as for Raonhiljo, the Emperor’s brother, he is not a bad guy at all. If anything, he’s the better choice for MC. He just truly loves MC and he had lost so much because of it.

He will still end up with the Emperor. Although he sorta stays the same (showing little to no emotion), his personality will soften a little bit coz of MC.
One of the best scenes to look forward to is MC’s naming ceremony. It’s so heartwarming and I am so so happy for him.

It was because he felt at ease with the Emperor. When he was with Raonhiljo, MC was always restless and I think he felt that he was missing something. IIRC, he was having nightmares/sleepwalks as if he was looking for something/someone. Raonhiljo knew this too so he let go of MC.

a bit sad indeed. But I guess we can already tell by how the story goes that she'll remain in this world. There's even one chapter wherein she's somehow resigned that she'll never return, convincing herself that she's doing well on the current world financially + she really dont have much attachment to the people of her original world except for her puppy (on which it seems the ML is filling that void. lol)
I just hope they'll be able to provide justification where/what happen to the original renee & the full acceptance that she won't be seeing her puppy anymore.
