For those people who are kinda irritated about Riftan's behavior or the way he speaks to Maxi sometimes. I've read a lot of stories where there is a ML who doesn't know how to interact properly or speak softly to the person that they love and I think Riftan is also like that. He is only surrounded by knights and is constantly fighting, thus not having time to interact with people or just doesnt really want to- specially to girls. The way he speak to Maxi is kinda rude sometimes but after that he also tried to rephrase it again after seeing Maxi's reaction. It shows that he is aware of his talking behavior to Maxi and he also wanted to change that I guess. So far the only thing that turned me off for a little bit is the way he spoke to Maxi but it only shows that he is very worried about her. So yeah, as long as he won't harm ourmc physically, mentally and emotionally then I'm very okay with him. I also hope that the truth about the way the Duke treated her will come out soon, I just can't stand her being the subject of hate just because she's the bastard duke's daughter. She only ever experienced abused in her 22 years of existence and I can't stand the knight, while not treating her rudely, they always make her feel like it's her fault just because her father is the Duke and it's so hard to see our traumatized mc always blaming herself and always feeling so helpless.

I can't go into to much detail, because it's alot of info. So I just recap the most recent event. So far in the story MC had just proved corruption in the church. Which was a the Pope and the Queen trying to accuse her for demolishing a church without permission (Im pretty sure, it was a little bit more, but it starts with that I believe). Which was false. She prove them wrong and the Pope was defamed. This put a spotlight on the Churchs corruption and created a bit conflict betweent the nobles and the church.
Van, the Pope's son and one of the Second Prince's faction, loses all support. Including the little bitch he was enamored with. He went to the MC for support because he literally had no one else to go to. She makes a deal/contract with him, that she will help him, only in he starts at the bottom teir of the church. That way he has to work his way up, instead of using his title to help. Currently, her and the First Prince were visiting the town of her fief.
The guy visiting is another one of the Prince's faction. He wanted to know the true MC, because he wanted to see if his actions were justified.
