u got the whole thing wrong, they were saying they couldve been something but the guy assaulting him and acting badly was wrong , they only said he didnt know how to express his love other way than that because he knew he had no chance with him i believe, its not an excuse for his action its just why he did it. it was wrong anf itd for the best that they weren’t endgame even tho how they gree up together being best friends was cute.
