I agree that he could have saved the relationship by communicating more or by giving the ex a chance to prove his love, but that is his decision. And who says that you can’t start another relationship immediately after breaking up? I do feel bad for the ex, but he has to face it sooner or later and the uke is not obligated to wait until the ex feel better about it.
