They’re interesting to read about and their characters are sometimes humorous, but usually the relationship tends to be toxic. I’m not saying this one is different but (never thought I’d say this) QUALITY STALKER!!!

This is that real slow burn romance. I’ve been reading this for a long time, but I can’t say I’m discontent. Skip Beat is a romance but I’m really here to see my wife Kyoko succeed.
This was one of the first and still one of the few shoujo where a female MC had her heart broken and wasn’t pieced back together by another man who swoops in and fixes everything. I love Ren, embarrassingly so in my younger years, but I’m happy that while he was part of the healing process he didn’t take over the whole thing.
I can understand some frustration because the chapters are pretty short and released once a month. When I first came across skip beat I was younger than Kyoko now I’m older than Ren. I still love and enjoy it, but maybe I’m bias. Call it sentimentality if you want.
Skip beat was the first exposure I had, or one of them, to a female lead who engrossed herself in her career and tried to be independent. It’s also probably why I can be so bitter about romance too. I’m also like 1000% certain Ren and Kyoko will end up together so I’m not very anxious about it.
Same here. Ofc I wanna see Kyoko succeed in her love life too, but I am just more invested in Kyoko's acting career. The author herself makes it clear that Kyoko's career is the main storyline so I really wish people would stop complaining about the slow budding romance.
Truth! Almost every manga gives you romance. I'm here for the personal growth of the characters!

For every 100 people that complain about this manga, 1 person will explain the actual point of this manga.
They just constantly get cussed out.
I've read post explaining why the pace is different from other manga since 2010.
Look at the Facebook posts on this page. It's the same debate.
It's just the one's who get it get tired of arguing with the people who don't get the point/meaning of this manga.
Some people see this as a romance, and some see this as Kyoko's personal journey <--- (this one is accurate).
Studying for the placement test?Stressing over it? Getting in and then it all being for nothing. （/TДT)/ I guess our MC has bigger problems though.
