I feel like is some short of having principles and values or just being a mercenary (swordsman)

Like the ML said, it's paper thin, it's just "fighting for what you belief in" as in fighting to protect what you believe in or "fighting for the money" as in being hired to do a job ( kill, or whatever) just aiming for the target without hesitation or any emotion. you can see it as a security agent vs hired body guard ( one picked that line of work because he want to protect people while the other doing what he's good at just for the money)
So i'd say both can be the same thing depending on the person's situation , ofc any poor person joining the army would be doing it for the money, in the end it's just their job but you still gotta respect them because they choose to risk their life for it instead of becoming criminals? And just because someone is a bodyguard doesn't mean he wouldn't risk their life to protect others if there's no money for him.
So we can't judge people for that because we're not in their shoes, and that's why i don't think she was that bad in her first like, i hate that trashy prince thinking he knows everything just because he was born with a golden spoon, and kinda feel the author made a really stupid statement, about working for money, i mean most people work for money? yes she was greedy, she was poor and thins can affect people in different ways no one can be a sane, the biggest fault was with the prince, "you choose the money" well everyone choose what they don't have, yes she killed a prince, but under the orders of another prince that she serves so? is she the bad person here? to me she didn't do much wrong, it's like this everywhere in these stories, princes kill each other for the throne, no one will get mad at them because they are royalties? but it's bad if it's a knight who does it under the prince order?
Also why did the red haired dude try to pick on her bby calling her a swordsman and then saying later " so who cares if you're a swordsman" doesn't make sense to me.... don't get me wrong i like this story it's just some things keep bugging me.

Damn if a manager like that asked me to come live with him, I would've immediately say yes.
