The rope, yes for sure cause that's uncomfortable as hell, I'm sure. But I think he wanted to keep the blindfold, because he doesn't wish for her to see what is happening. He doesn't want to let her see people being killed, beheaded or mutilated, hence he keeps her blindfolded.
Don't know about the ropes though
