Yay they kissed but man this art style is constantly throwing me off
OMG SAME! The art is distracting, characters actions/expressions are off, the scenes are messy, and the characters conversations feel lazy. I re-read S1 SOOOO many times because it captured everything I adored but now scrolling through S2 just to get an idea how the story is progressing. I will not re-read S2. I still want to find the author and see if they did other projects or find out why they didn't complete the series...
Ngl just based off the comments I assumed the ml was cheating on her every 5 seconds or killed her dog or some shit like yall HATEEEEE this man. After catching up I genuinely can’t find where the hate comes from like bro is a complex character and people can’t handle that ig. People got issues with the fl too for being annoying??? I don’t really see it aside from her being awkward sometimes lmao all in all it’s a solid manwha imo

I read the novel ages ago so I alr knew what was gonna happen to Eclis but I don’t really get why the author chose him of all characters to get brainwashed and tricked. Like bro was already a slave, had been abused his entire life, literally been considered less than a human. I just feel bad for him bc the only person who ever cared abt him now hates him bc he essentially got brainwashed and misguided. I understand he should’ve maybe had the willpower to be like “hmmm maybe I shouldn’t bring Yvonne back” but man cannot catch a break from life gddmn. I just can’t hate him bc I felt so bad for him, Penelope essentially forgot him and then when he came back it was literally the worst case scenario.
to be fully honest? psychologically it makes sense because he's the most vulnerable. but I am still mad that he has to go through it. and if he gets no redemption I'm gonna be madder cuz he's the biggest victim-of-his-situation example. he lives and breathes for penelope, the one person who gives him zero actual attention.
It’s just a. Really big plot hole.
I speak from experience writing my own stories. For me it’s a little different. I literally can’t stand plot holes like this.
If I had to give you a decent reason, I would say it was convenient. Assuming the author picked eclise for a number of reasons, the one I would say made most sense was that he was already considered a traitor.
You are right though, Penelope “forgetting” about him and leaving him all alone for so long isn’t very accurate to her character or the story in general. She saw Eclise as the easiest/safest escape option. So this is already a huge plot hole, her not realizing Yvonne is brainwashing people also seems odd to me as she’s clearly smart enough to put the fact that Yvonne uses magic, and when she’s in contact with people they tend to act very out of character.
So yeah I would say it was convenient. They probably got tired of trying to find a solution that ticked every box, and also fit their time crunch.
It’s a sucky reason still.
Louder for the eclis haters, you could make me hate reynold but you could never make me hate eclis, my boy is the character I would try to save and be with if I would ever get reincarnated in the manhwa. He's the typical "made villain. Eclis and blondie crown prince are the only ones who genuinely cared about Penelope and did not love her just because" Hmm she has changed". They killed the other penelope yes they killed her hence no matter how much they redeem I can never ever forgive the dad and the brothers but eclis and crown prince are my salvation.
