The villain isn’t Cosette, you can consider her one base on your opinion. But the real villain is the father, from the beginning he was an asshole. And until the fucking end, he still an asshole. He never change, even his first wife died by the assassin and he knew. And also know who is the culprit (The second wife’s family), he didn’t help her catch them. He didn’t prevent it and have no emotion, remain unchanged. Because the first wife can’t have a child but the true is that she actually pregnant, and the child was a girl. Before she die, she made a deal with a demon so the demon possessed the child. But the demon basically kill the child off, Cosette basically was never alive. I forgot the details but I think the Cosette that we believe that was the villain until now was a demon. OMFGGG let’s just get to the point, what I’m trying to say is that this whole thing wouldn’t happen if the father have at least a single warm for the daughter and his first wife.
