Can somebody list down what happens with these two in each lifetime? This is kind of confusing. Like in what lifetime was he the blind kid? And which was the first lifetime? This chapter is apparently second lifetime. Is the fourth lifetime still left? I think I will have ro reread. But there are so many chapters ╥﹏╥
Spoiler Alert!! Anyway, rereading this will be fun (I'll do so too!! Hehe) but here's my take on how I understand the story. Hope it helps!
From what I understand, there's no lifetimes since they're both immortals at this point. I section their memories or the flashbacks as points in time where they met and met again.
The first encounter, with Ryeong as a blind kid, ran away from home. He's already stronger than most kids his age and as a really big, strong soul. He met Paljae, the heir of winter, when he was gravely injured and being chased around for being an evil god that devours everything. And I forgot the name of a tower that he conquered, but essentially, he ruled with an iron fist and they wanted to put an end to his tyranny. And so, they were together for some time in a cave in some mountainous area since Paljae was gravely injured. If I remember correctly, he has a hole in his stomach. The pursuers are still tracking Paljae and at some point, they'll hide in a lake under the mountain. He instructs a humongous tortoise to help Ryeong escape while he dealt with the pursuers but it ends up dead. Ryeong comes back to help Paljae. Anywaaaaay, long story short, Paljae manages to escape just to send Ryeong back home. He eventually ends up captured and was confined for long ass time in a dungeon at the winter realm (or whatever it's called). I think this is the part where Paljae shares a part of his soul to sustain Ryeong's life as well since he got severely injured during that fight.
(There's something that happened after, but I forgot what exactly. We got to see Ryeong's mentor then and his father died, something about them coming from an enemy country where his dad was a general that defected. I guess, I'll have to reread this part (￣∇￣"))
Now, the latest chapters are recounting their second encounter. Ryeong is already an ascendant and is waiting to rise in the ranks. Paljae just escaped the dungeon where he is confined and is gravely injured again! Chapter 110 shows us the creation of Ryeong's palace. Apparently, Paljae created it for him in the past to help him recuperate, which explains why it has water from the court of melting water. I guess, we'll know more as the story progresses ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

You're welcome! Their second encounter is still unfolding, painstakingly sloooow (≧∀≦) but I love the parallels between these encounters. I can't wait for Ryeong to recover his memories! I'm assuming that Paljae can take care of himself, so I'm rooting for Ryeong （/TДT)/

Which one should I read?
If you want to read a good quality translation that makes sense then you should read the one uploaded by AkumaKira. It's normally the chapter that has a chapter title. Ex: "Ch. 160: My Qin"
These are the translations I trust because the others are normally MTL. Those are also the ones that have been uploading the whole time. I believe what happened is another user got tired of waiting for the quality translations to come out and started uploading their own instead.
