i dont remember what chapter explains it more in detail because they keep going back and forth between different years but basically the first chapter gives it away. After Zero died, Yuki gave up herself to revive Kaname.
I hope his memories will be back even though it really hurts I hope he find his happiness. He been so lonely for how many year just to protect Yuki
