Reminds me of Missing Love: A Married Man manhwa. Though, the ML was able to save the MC.
The trauma inflicted to him was so severe that it affects his way of living but somehow, he was able to pull through because of the ML's love.

And I really do hope they'll somehow be able to pull through this together and help each other heal..., but I also wouldn't be mad if that's not the case, I'll leave it to the author :D
