Hi ; i have stopped reading it , here is what i did : i went to read softcore psychological thrillers that i find as fascinating, but less toxic. And well ... I also found hardcore psychological thrillers that are BL and aesthetically really good, but less stupid in term of plot. I mean i don't mind a darker plot but really, what's the interest of those stupid rape scenes.
There are other psychological BL thrillers with a masterful delivery , like Lost in the Cloud (softcore) or Missing Love (hardcore) and the side story of My Suha (hardcore but less disturbing than Missing Love) _ those have real relationship and characte development and it's just a lot better in term of plot. (And the way trauma is depicted.) It is traumatizing but in the good sense the readers understand trauma from the inside out. It brings more compassion and respect of one self.
To me ''.Jinx '' and the last season of '' Pearl Boy '' are just hardcore shit that's just plain horror without real finesse. Ok it's '' fascinating '' but truly it's better to feed our brain with GOOD SHIT instead of the sick shit.. i am not criticizig the authors who choose to picture noncon and sexslavery but the delivery has to be a certain way to be really interesting otherwise it's just traumatizing and/or desensitizing.
'' Payback '' , '' No Moral '' and '' Mad Dog '' also are SO MUCH betrer than this !!! It's enjoyable to see a vigorous dynamic with a uke with a spine and real good conversations between 2 people that have fiery minds and hearts. (Just as in Lost in the Cloud, i mean THERE is a true relationship dynamic and real interesting plot.)
