I wouldn't say there are many cliffhangers here; it's just that this manga really has one very long update schedule.
All things considered though, I'd say the main characters are at a pretty chill spot in their relationship rn – the bigger problem is that there are a few conversations they need to have, but also aren't personally ready to talk about yet, so you get this kind of antsy feeling as you wait for them to process things internally before it ends up being talked about and resolved for real.
