Then they keep talking about her declining health and that chapter where she was skin and bones is scary. I want them to end up together and to be happy but I don’t think it’s possible.

It was only reserved for kings and queens , until it got heavily commercialized during colonization of America Africa and asia. There were places where the whole economy depended on sugar . Colonial united states was notorious for bringing in slaves from Africa just for their huge sugar plantations. Horrible conditions.
