I don't know if there is the same problem in korean as in japanese. In japanese western names sometimes get a weird respelling when translated. german (they love to use german names, don't know why)-> japanese ->english can end in some weird spelling.
As far as I know Dane should be the correct name.

What's crazy is bc we've always seen Shanks the way Luffy sees him that him being the bad guy in OP will definitely be a great betrayal for all of us.
Idk when but I've always thought that maybe Shanks will be the ultimate villain of the story given how much influence he has on Luffy. I thought the end fight will be kinda of the student surpassing the teacher scenario, Luffy vs Shanks
