Rereading this entire series because the first vol is one of my most favorites (the prequel)….and Thor first vol of this sequel still makes me feel meh. I hate how Zen was like “why can’t you trust me???” And “we shouldn’t be together if that’s how you think.” And Ryo was like “it’s all my fault.”

Your lover is giving you rain checks on rain checks, you suddenly see him with someone he suddenly got chummy with, never explained why he’s treating him the way he treated you before (rivalry, it is a significant relation for both of them), is lying to you because “that’d seem uncool for you to know.”….AND YOU THINK YOU ARE AT FAULT FOR GETTING *checks notes* GETTING ANNOYED????
I paused midway to comment this because I was so frustrated and it’s not even my first time reading it. I hated how Zen handled it, I hated how his character was butchered. Fukami you highly inconvenient motherfucker. How the fuck are you leaving your actual friend and pinning another dude because of their rivalry? I understand your perspective, and it’s not really your fault (it is Zen’s cus holy fuck communication is not uncool) but still.
THE ARGUMENT WAS SOLVED YES, BUT IT WAS DONE SO SWIFTLY. ZEN NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE PROFUSELY INSTEAD OF THINKING “why didn’t he just tell me??” Um, if only you could do the same?? How are you the best sales person when your interpersonal skills are so low in private??
I love both Zen and Ryo, but I still think whatever spanned 7 chapters, was absolutely bullshit and shouldn’t have happened.
Now if you don’t like this entire rant of a comment, you don’t have to tell me. I don’t want lessons on how life works or that’s just how it is or they handled it maturely.
It's fiction. We are reading fiction for a reason. Ranting about one thing or another, is part of being a reader’s experience. If you agree with me, that’s great. If you don’t, great.

I was reading the novel until the mtl ver. I honestly can't say anything since I'm reading unofficially, but they are so messy... The chapters start with no head or tail, end up somewhat better but the next chapter is almost the entire same story as the prev one until the half and then it cuts and continues.
It's very hard to follow and since I know they will cut the novel to fit the comic format (almost always happens), I'm lowkey sad....

I read it in 2016...solely because of the scene where yashiro stomps on doemeki's dick after he had declared his ED (he got hard for yashiro lmfao logic? Never heard of it) But it always had a special place in my heart.
So I dropped it, after memorizing the title (ish) and waited..... And waited..... And waited..... And its almost been a decade but this thing isn't done yet. I want to rebel and read but I know this author and I know the last chapter is 100% a cliffhanger.....
I just hope this gets done before I'm in my 30s
