Mc needs to shut the fuck up and stop thinking he’s morally better than everyone else. Small settlements like these need rules and punishments to keep the majority safe. Especially in a survival/ zombie situation. The fact he was so shocked the medicine is reserved for people doing the hard dangerous work shows how naive he is. Does he even know the rest of the rules? Annoying

Ig it’s like a chain of reaction way of thinking. What happens down the line is what his punishment should be.
Dad steals medicine for his kid = no medicine for the people who are obtaining materials for the town = that person dies = one less person to go out and search for materials = more people die from hunger/ if weaker people are sent out to search, they’ll probably die too
So even though it seems harsh in the long run the aftermath is just as awful.

is survival really that important if it means you can cut down anyone who breaks the rules even if they're someone you love or did it to save a child? sure the hounds are important, but that doesn't mean you can weigh who's life is more important a soldier or a child. the mc has different morals than guwon but that doesn't mean he's also not making hard decisions. what? you thought he was just gonna follow a hive mind and not have his own beliefs about what it means to be human? if it meant saving his family, I think teach would also steal medicine so guwon executing that man showed him they have very different ideas what it means to love, would guwon also kill him, his so called "one and only in the entire world," if he stole medicine for a child?

Okay. But it’s a kid vs adult. Kids immune systems are much weaker. An adult already has built their immune system.
“ Some illnesses can cause more severe symptoms in children than in adults. For example, respiratory viruses like RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) tend to affect infants and toddlers more severely. “
“ Children’s immune systems are still developing, which makes them more vulnerable to infections, particularly when they are very young. They haven’t been exposed to as many viruses and bacteria as adults, so they haven’t built up immunity. “

damn you coming in with the sources and citations. but yea I agree also from a moral decision pov, kids literally haven't had the chance to grow up. sure soldiers have to put themselves in danger to protect people too, but there is no "fair" way to decide who should live. if you think abt it it's purely luck that all of us didn't die during childbirth but that doesn't mean if I become a soldier that I am more fitting to receive medicine compared to even a child who was just born. then again if I have the apocalypse cure does it mean we kill that person to cure everyone? I really don't think there is an an answer and it's why we get the last of us part I where
SPOILER
SPOILER
mc chooses to shoot up a hospital where his adoptive daughter was going to get killed for the cure for everyone. I don't think you can ask a parent to sacrifice their child even if it means you'd be saving the world. I really don't believe there is a correct answer because then you're just relying on philosophical beliefs that everyone has that are different like utilitarianism vs kantianism

I mean, logically it should be saved solely for the kids.
Germs and bacteria enter through the eyes and the mouth. Kids are just oblivious and will do whatever.. however adults can be mindful and careful with what they do. If the adults can take the right precautions then them getting sick should/could be extremely rare.

I feel like the medicine here is less of like… cold medicine but more of pain/antibacterial. The people it’s reserved for aren’t the folks staying in the village but the people risking their lives in the outside fighting zombies and sneaking into buildings the people with the most important and dangerous roles. Like yes it’s difficult and scary for kids to get sick, especially as the father, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth risking stealing medicine when he knows the severity of the repercussions

Hmm… surprised basketball guy let her go with blondie if he’s the one pursuing her.
Hope she doesn’t have sex with blondie just to reach her goal- and if she does I hope he tells basketball guy. Since he seems to be wanting a more long term relationship while she’s using him to reach a goal.
I think in the end she’ll likely end up with her childhood friend or a mix of the guys she’s been going after (no point in introducing them if they’re just to get ditched after she gets into the club).
I’ve also been wondering if mystery club leader is someone she knows? Childhood friend and he both have dark hair but… childhood friend guy was clueless about her having sex so maybe not
Side story reminds me of The Little Prince
That was the reference, obviously
