They do struggle but a problem that I often see in manhwas is the depiction of them as harmless towards the mcs only because they can be a main love interest. I’m not sure of the approach here as we haven’t seen that much of him yet but I’m worried about them not addressing how dangerous he can be to mc as well.
it’s not usually so black and white which is why the legal system takes mental illness and psychopathy into account in the first place. while yes, people with aspd or psychopathic traits do commit crimes or do things that are morally considered right or wrong, they don’t understand WHY it’s morally wrong or right in the same way that we would because they lack empathy so they ‘know’ what’s wrong or right but in a completely different sense to someone with empathy. also the brain and mental disorders are very complicated so it’s not like every single person has the same symptoms or experiences given how complex the brain is it’s very likely that his experience would align with at least a small group of people in the world.
That’s also true, I feel like they tried to do that when they went to his house but, I don’t think it really landed lol. It’s definitely bold to take on as a writer, but I see that there’s an understanding to be found there that’s quite unique in media. Especially as a manhwa subplot of all things.
