Its bcs the only way to lift the curse is by having sex, if im not mistaken they said it somewhere that in the original book, blake's curse will be lifted when he has sex with diana but since she chose richard, blake dies. Thats why she tries hard for them to fall in love ajd she will take care of richard herself, probably get tgt with richard so he wont bother blake and diana who knows
