I'm pretty certain he's using her. And the fact that he isn't letting her doing her duties as a queen is confirming it.
I don't know but the story is a bit...lacking if that makes sense. Like even the pacing and the dialogues are a bit weird. Well I'll see if it gets better later ╮(￣▽￣)╭

it’s normal for art to adjust as the series continues bc tighter deadlines. first few chapters are often made in advance so the beginning of a series looks better bc there’s more time to work on those chapters
