I have such a love hate relationship with this manga.
On one hand I love how realistically it has handled the relationships that are there between the characters, I love how romance is not bounded by gender and most of all I really like the theme of Kowloon itself.
However
I don't think Koudo should end up with Kujirae. Even if this Kujirae somehow turns out to be the og one, I don't think he should end up with her. To me his character is the only weak link in the entire story. He projects the original Kujirae on mc. He's hypocritical, he gets mad when our MC tries to copy og Kujirae, yet won't let her completely be her own self either, it's like he enjoys the morbid struggle of her having nowhere to fit.
I would much rather that MC ends up with Youmei since it's clear that she really deeply cares for her well being and is the only person who sees Kujirae for who is she and not who she's supposed to be.
Also I don't really consider Miyuki and Gwen to be villains? Like there's no specific villainous role in this in the first place, it mostly shows how the one you need to brave at the end of the day is yourself.
Also one last thing I found so absolutely hilarious is that everyone keeps edging Kujirae on how she's not the original and she should move on and blah blah blah, but every single one of them is trapped in the last and has no intention of letting it go.

MC is not meant to be with anyone. She is a ghost-a veritable trap in ghost town. Koudo is trapped in memory of loved one, Youme battles with self esteem issue. They are both living being who are hiding. The whole point of story is to be one's own self and move on by making change. But it also mean they need to stop hiding and leave this place of dead and start living their own life.

Yeah, now that more chapters have updated I can definitely see that. It's apparant now that the entire Kowloon is something of an intangible place. A region that is entirely made from past memories. A place of constancy, where everyone is stuck in the same place where they were. Never changing and never trying to change
But when I had first commented it seemed like it was about to take a romance path, which made me make the comment in the first place

Dude that's such bullshit "Let the students grow". If this situation was even 1% more realistic then the students would've been traumatized and some would've ended up dead, like in Harry Potter or MHA. It's funny that somehow nobody dies. Also how the hell do they even learn things??? Like not a single teacher except the one female teacher and the dark magician have actually taught them anything???

You know I really like eleceed however some things just don't make sense to me. How are there so many awakened in the world yet the world is completely unaware of them, despite all the awakened being at odds with each other all the damn time.
Also why isn't there an actual society of the awakened with an international constitution to manage them or something?? I mean I get that some of the awakened are solely after power however I'm sure that there are ones who wish for peace.
Also how have they not had a war yet?? With the way they've been portrayed, all of the awakened seem to hate each other and are always fighting for the top positions???

Your definition of many is less than a few thousands compared to a world population of almost 8 billion (since they still follow reality population). If they have someone who can wipe out memories or since they are the leading figures in their countries (someone who has connection with politics/economic leaders) then burying a few stuff isn't anything new. Besides it's a part of the plot

Think of it... I you have never been to a forest, and have never encounter an arch in the middle of a forest you won't believe stories of them nor would be interested to know in its real. Same thing with this world. People are only focus on their lives. The older you get the more the quirky is a rare sight.

Yeah that's why I'm saying that how are more people not aware?
Jiwoo's mom works with the research facility right
But also think of where the money comes from? Because we can see that none of the awakened have any normal job that they do.
So how does the money flow occur? They need findings to continue a research facility that large right

I agree with your statement to some extent but I would like to oppose by saying that it's a bit of an invalid comparison. An arch in the middle of a forest is pretty damn minute and causes no damage or has any effect in the real world, however imagine that the arch keeps on growing and exudes aura and causes occasional destruction around its surroundings. That's the arch you should be comparing to the awakened.
Because this arch will attract attention undoubtedly

I don't know why but this manhwa is slightly giving me Vinland Saga vibes. Like make it Vinland Saga but make it a bit more upbeat and less seinen??
Also that last scene was simply touching. Idk why, I've read over 2500 manhwa and mangas but scenes with genuine gratitude or happiness never fail to move me...

I am perfectly with ML's family being apprehensive of FL and treating her skeptically, however I'll never understand how people blame the children for the crimes of the parent. Also didn't she recently uncover the drug scandal and actively help in it?? Why does no one consider that?
Also it's pretty clear that the drug cartel has nothing to do with her, but leaving that aside. She comes to the hometown and immediately people are looking down on her? Like how stupid is that? If she was truly involved in the cartel buisness and was an actual villainess, then the people would've been fucked!! And it's ironic that none of the people who insulted her are ready to take any responsibility if any of the consequences actually befall them?!

That's what I'm saying, if they're not caught up with the recent news then isn't it wrong to judge her when clearly the brother is trusting her.
I'm pretty sure she knows that her brother would've been suspicious of her usually but since he's not then there's clearly something going on right
Also I'm not saying that they shouldn't be suspicious, but I'm saying they're being brash
They're clearly showing their disdain towards her arrival and are openly rude, but if she actually was a spy then she could've easily asked the cartel to wipe them out since most cartel owners or participants are powerful and self centred

Honestly I just can't see them ending up together? Like Mr Mo likes him too much, but it's true that what he liked was the secretary who was perfect and catered to his needs. And Secretary is broken and is skeptical of love, which is understandable considering his past.
Both of them didnt properly know the other till they fell off.
All in all i hope author doesn't hurry the relationship and instead actually shows how both of them heal and try to form a special bond. Clearly both of them need to heal and get to know each other properly before getting into a serious relationship

Genuinely I hate the entire concept. Like what?? What the hell is wrong with the parents?? You just forced a marriage upon your daughter who's barely 22!!
She could've just studied and done so much more... Why do these manhwas always make the FL centred around marriage?? Can't we have a FL who's focused on jobs and is trying to make a place for herself in this world, along with romance?!
Seriously hate these types of romances.
Dude please if this guy is the ml I'll kill myself. He's the epitome of an annoying narcissist, and is a stalker of the highest degree. I don't give a rat's ass about his tragic past, he can suck ass for all I care
God I wish this manhwa was more serious and focused more on the MC's goal rather than on romance especially with a ML like that
Will read **IF** this gets better (which I hope it will but I know it won't)
Totally agree. I'd rather not have a ML at all rather than him.
