THIS DUDE GOT A CRUSH ON MC AND ALSO LIKES DIANA AT THE SAME TIME, LIKE BRO PICK A SIDE PROPERLY
Like he understands Diana is lacking and incompetent and hestia is doing the right thing by severing dead weights, but he won't let her do that cause Diana needs to be protected-
LIKE DUDE YOU'RE THE CROWN PRINCE AND DIANA IS CAUSING INTERNATIONAL PROBLEMS, YOU CAN'T PRIORITISE A PINK MONKEY IN HER HEAT CYCLE OVER THE COUNTRY FFS (PS i know monkeys don't have heat cycle)
Honestly I'll be frank here, these two do not work well and I would much rather that they break up. Clearly Haesol doesn't harbour special romantic feelings, or even if she did, they're her own twisted version of love, which is not good for Yeonwoo.
Haesol is not in the mindspace to care for someone in a relationship, especially not someone like Yeonwoo who needs much more attention and reassurance than your average person because of his traumatic past.
If I had to compared, Haesol is like ice, someone who is really cool and calm on the outside but unfeeling inside (may be because of her past but I can't say for sure), while Yeonwoo is like a flame that needs love and assurance to keep burning. Both clearly enjoy how the other is different from them, but now that they've gotten too close to each other, they're hurting each other
Please just break up. Neither is ready to be emotionally vulnerable nor are they ready to sacrifice at times to make a relationship work. A relationship can't work on hopes and dreams and clearly neither of them is ready to actually put in effort into finding a compromise

See I'll be honest, these plots are always good but logically speaking if someone genuinely lived 9 lives, then do you really think they would want revenge? Cause to me it seems if someone like that could choose peace and just simply leave the country, it would be perfect
Because who in their right mindset would still want to be wrapped up in petty politics AFTER 9 LIVES?!
Idk I just always find it odd they never show the woman leaving the country and embarking on a journey to find true peace.
Of course this story is still really good though- that goes without saying

It's clear whatever happened to both of them, one with their family and the other in their middle school, was really traumatic and of course it goes without saying that both of them will find it hard to open up about it
However at the same time they're both envious of the other person's close friend with whom they're comfortable sharing it with, which is not them. It's a form of jealousy and anxiety as well.
From haesol's pov it's normal to be wary of yeonwoo's bestfriend because they did have a very odd relationship of mutual dependance. However she did not know how to approach it properly and ended up being toxic and manipulated the friendship. She's concerned and jealous on one hand and on the other hand she's not ready to open up about her trauma either. This is a tough combination to work with
Yeonwoo on the other hand is concerned about haesol but he too isn't in the mindset to be able to share his trauma as well. However he too wants to know herself
They're both curious but aren't comfortable yet to reveal the cards in their hands, which is leading to the friction in the relationship.
At least they are talking it out and having a confrontation over it, which is far better than avoiding the topic forever and bottling all the feelings

I just noticed that in the last panel of chapter 5 the director has a small bow tied to his goatee
Honestly I felt like it would've been much better if they chose Ryushin as Jekyll and MC as Hyde
There's been several instances in theatre and films where the same person is played by two different people
Guys some of y'all are so used the to recycled regression trope with the "strong" FL who suddenly becomes strong as fuck and the ML who is a cheater and a bitch, y'all are judging this on the same standards.
This is not a story about revenge. It's of forgiveness and understanding. The ML has insane ptsd after war and it was extremely valid. War breaks people beyond repair. Now I am not saying he was valid in treating the FL as such, but he definitely tried his best. Their relationship got messed up only cause the doctor intervened.
And the FL is strong. Mental strength and forgiveness always takes much more willpower and strength than revenge. Revenge and hatred come easy, forgiveness and understanding do not.
She has always been from a poor family with a problematic father, and in the past life she was married for money. In this life she has improved a lot, she doesn't outright forgive the ML but she knows herself how badly war affects people.
Both the characters are really well fleshed out till now and both of them obviously care for each other both in the past and the present life, however due to the different kinds of lives they've led, they had a tough time finding a middle ground.
