That’s why he become a hero but if they didn’t he wouldn’t be the same he is now. I am not clarifying the villains but I feel is kinda unfair to compare them bc for example no one saved shigaraki.

We all have bad things that happen to us and I’m willing to forgive some things when you are young and desperate or with severe mental health issues, but at a certain point they are responsible for their own choices and actions. Fabian for instance is old enough and sane enough to know better. On the other hand I feel Hawks would have eventually found himself being a hero or at the very least an honest good person. You see throughout his entire flashback despite desperate situations and the ability to do so he never steals, hurts his father or anyone else. He also sneaks out to save those people from a car accident. He also doesn’t feel the hero’s are real at that point meaning he could just as well seen a cartoon. Everyone has a sob story, but you get to choose in the end. For some people it’s a harder choice then others, but in the end you do get to choose

Sorry also as to your point about Shigaraki he had a loving family even if his father was a bit abusive. He had some bullying and kids stuff happen with his sister and he reacted by killing them all. He also grew up enough to know better as he goes around killing all kinds of people. In childhood there really wasn’t something for the heroes to save him from and sense then he’s only needed to be saved from himself

Well yea but he was just a kid with a deadly quirk that he didn’t know how to use and when he was living in the streets alone I think a hero could been like “hey kid are you ok” or just heard what he had to say

Shigaraki is like Eri in that sense, he didn't know what to do with his quirk.

I was thinking that same thing too while reading y'all comments then you said this xD plus when you look at it this way both of them are in some kinda similar situation. It's just that eri was being experimented on so she's the one getting hurt while shigaraki was made to hurt people. So the thinking of both of them was opposite(eri wanting to save while shiggy wants to destroy) and the outcome comes differently too bcuz one of them got saved while the other one didn't, so that further drives down what path they'll eventually take

Yeaaaah. But based on the last chapter (the one before the current one) I think Shigaraki is tired now and needs help. He just need saving. I hope Deku helps him just like Eri's. ┗( T﹏T )┛

I guess with Shigaraki it’s open to interpretation, but I see him as more of an active participant in the death of his family. In the lead up he keeps complaining about his itchie eyes and I took that as a metaphor of his suppressed desire to kill and destroy. As he goes through bullying, his father shutting him up about heroes and then finally his sisters betrayal you see him complaining about The itchiness. Then at the moment his quick first activates here’s what happens in order. He accidentally kills the dog. His sister comes to apologize then freaks out and start running away it’s vague whether she was purposely killed or not here’s the exact wording from the chapter “At this point I still... thought it was someone else’s doing. No. Maybe Not” implying he might have knowingly killed her for running away and not saving him. Then he talks about perhaps already understanding it by then and he also asks why they took his Dad’s side and wouldn’t help him. Actual wording from the chapter right before he kills all of them except his father “I can’t take it anymore. All the little things add up. I hate everyone.” I interpret that as he did it on purpose, but still didn’t quite understand the gravity of what he was doing. Then the exact wording right before he kills his father is “At this point. With full intent to kill I touched my father.” He does this while repeatedly screaming for his father to die. Which means he killed him fully aware of what he was doing. After killing his father exact wording again “An unrelenting wave of pleasure washed over me. Perhaps somewhere deep in my heart... I had always been hoping for something like this. I no longer felt that burning itch”. As I said the itching is a metaphor for his desire to kill and destroy so it was temporarily relieved once he had. He also felt immense pleasure from doing so. In that case he was always a monster and whether a hero had reached out to him or he’d awakened his quirk without killing anyone or his family I think that itching that desire to kill would cause him to eventually do so even if he had the perfect life. If you remember all throughout the series he states his purpose is to destroy first and foremost. When he’s being asked why he formed the league of villains his response is do I need a reason I just want to destroy everything. He not even like Dabi who is out for revenge he just wants to kill and destroy for the sake of it. He’s a true sociopath. I think it is also true of the vampire like girl.

I will say this isn’t the case for everyone the multiplying guy could have been steered on the right path if he got help and in a large way I feel they took advantage of that,
I will also say they air guy and the girl who increased his power with her love weren’t really bad. They never really even did anything that evil. I saw them lashing out as more a cry for help and that they will probably turn good now that they have it.

Yea I guess it depends on perspective, I didn't really saw/realized that part where there might be a possibility that he's a true sociopath, noice. But in my case/opinion shiggy from the start also wanted to be a hero, but he was rubbed off on that by his father. He said that "it only itches at home(chap. 235 9/19)"
And that "any talk of heroes was forbidden" (chap. 235)
And ya know how deku just wants his mom to tell him/hear that word instead of "I'm sorry izuku" and all might told him that, that he can be a hero too. And shiggy has that similar thinking "The words of a grown up are absolute. All I wanted was that one phrase... That's why I wanted to hear it from you all. The house my father built... It continued to quietly deny me."(chap. 235 10/19)
He was really happy when he found out that he has a grandmother that's a hero too, but then he got betrayed by his own sister and when his father was beating him up he was asking for help and to not just stand there and watch him got beat up. And then at the end of the chapter he said, " I can't take it anymore... I just... Hate everyone." I feel like that's where it all started, him not giving shit anymore and just letting go and destroying stuff, and it makes him feel free. So I guess whether he really is truely evil from the start depends on how others sees shigaraki. CuZ I don't think anyone is truely evil the moment they're born in this story.. unless they're psychopath or they're all for one (︶︿︶)=凸 man i hate that guy

This has been a surprising in depth conversation and I see your point to. I don’t think anyone is born evil either, but people get to choose to be evil. I also don’t think it is impossible to change from your childhood self if you want to. My point with Shiggy was even if it was just his home for the moment making him itchy it’s his thought process that I think eventually leads him to evil. He doesn’t ever really consider anyone else’s feelings or position. It’s all about him. He’s never really saying he loves them it’s all about how people treat him. Unlike Deku or Hawks who want to be a hero to save people, Shiggy wants to be a hero because he wants to. Like a child wants to be a cowboy because they think it’s cool. He doesn’t seem to want to be a hero because he wants to save anyone. He’s like one of the fake Heroes Stain talked about who are in it more for the money, fame, glory and admiration of others. They’re not really in it when the going gets tough.
So what I’m saying is life typically gets way harder from when you are a kid. I think Shiggy hits a point in school, a relationship or his career (maybe even as a hero) where he’s going to get that shitty unfair push back like we all do. maybe it is a really bad divorce in his 40s, etc. My point being I see Shiggy reacting in a similar fashion. It’s just a question of what triggers that to come to the surface. Ultimately though we are just splitting hairs here and the reality could be either way, but I really love how this manga shows so many points where someone has to choose between good and evil and the different choices people make that result in them becoming good or evil. A million things can happen. But ultimately we get to see the choices they make to lead to where they are

    Randomfujoshi January 31, 2021 10:25 pm

Oh yea true true, damn dude (⊙…⊙ ) those are the things I haven't thought about and i just remembered how this story have waaay so many what ifs, just as you said with this story's different arc that gives us other people's pov and their story. Yea, now I understand your point with shiggy, maybe it's just me being/trying to be optimistic for his character (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ and with what's happening now I jut want him to be save, but I feel like it won't be that easy, like if they got saved then what how can they transition from being evil to being good like even in case of toga or dabi when the society is just as f'd up as them. I can't wait how horikoshi will solve or continue this story (≧∀≦)
