I honestly love Given and every part of how the author writes things out. So it is a little frustrating to see comments about poor Uenoyama and taking sides like Mafuyu doesn't deserve him he shouldn't have dated him.
I have loved Uenoyama as a character since the beginning but please, how are you expecting teenagers to have reached the maturity and mindset to know that they should or shouldn't be in a relationship. They just aren't. Especially dealing with grief and love. I sure as hell know that at times I just wanted to ignore and fill it with anything. I think they definitely felt love for eachother but restless emotions always come up. I love that Given is slow and makes things work out but also shows that a lot of things just didn't work out.
I applaud that Mafuyu and Uenoyama took steps to be together and right now this arc is them working through everything they took a first step towards. And I think people forget that because it happened to get sidelined for Aki and Haru. I think Aki and Haru had a lot of complicated issues but I find that Mafuyu and Uenoyama's relationship to be far more complex and nuanced with difficulties and emotions.

Surprisingly I like the best friend and teacher's characters. Though manipulative but their expressions and dialogue are really well portrayed and drawn. But the main character is so annoyingly a pushover.. and just dumb. Which just reminds me of the stupid female mc's in hentai plots that always get taken advantage of. I think it's more of a personal irk I hate, but compared to the other characters her actions just so seems so frustratingly shallow due to that trope.
I'm intrigued to see how it all gets resolved though and that may well make it all the worth while

Wow this took a weird turn for the resolution. Not surprised since this is pretty typical but I enjoyed the art. I feel like it could've worked out a lot more forgiving to people had the author spread out everything in this chapter over a few more because everything immediately got swept up.
Those character profiles tho lmao. Man I'd love to know what's on this authors mind. I hope she just writes something like Yarichin and rolls with it because she sounds hilarious

What is the author gonna do with shiratori lol he looks shady and then the last scene made him look somewhat sad Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
This was 2 very painful chapters, but I think they were both very necessary for the development. It was super painful but kindof beautifully raw for Sumi and Utou. I just think a lot of the earlier chapters kindof dragged out the drama too much.
I will probably enjoy the story regardless but I'm glad I know what I may be in for.
Wait I'm confused!? What might happen?
See all the comments with spoilers for more info. But basically the plot will be a realistic take on romance for the setting and will end up with a happy ending regardless but on the other hand it may be a little hard to take because we love Pauliana so much
