I feel that at this point in time mangaka should stop "sugar-coating" rape. It just feels wrong for semes to be forgiven as soon as they pronounce their love for their ukes. Rape is not something that can be swept under the rug like that. I'd rather the seme show genuine remorse and work their asses off to be forgiven.
Ah.. I think I read a manga where seme raped uke.. Tho uke was pretty forgiving the seme still took responsibility for his deeds.. The manga had too much sex scenes so I left it as soon as the couple got together and all.. But in that concept, like you said that seme should show genuine remorse, it was good.. Sadly, I don't remember the manga's title..
I've read a few mangas where the seme was actually remorseful about his actions. The only one I can remember right now is Hidoku Shinaide. But it took a long time until the mangaka really addressed the rape that happened in the first volume. Still, I love the art and the sex scenes are super steamy.
For me , rather than it being a " moral issue " , it's just sloppy and confused storytelling . To say " iT's JuSt FiCtIon " is actually more insulting to the creator and other well told stories than a defence .

I agree with you. I don't feel anything for Masato. Nowadays you can have a child without getting married. He made that decision for himself and now he understands that he was in love with Hotaka all along? When Chika and Hotaka just started dating? Too late buddy.
I don't really like Hotaka either, tho. He seriously needs to grow a spine.

If he hooks up with Masato it feels like he really does just go with the flow with whomever, which is kinda sad for Masato, too. Hotaka needs to just relax and take it easy from work and think about what he really wants.
Agreed. I don't feel any love between Masato and Hotaka either. If they're endgame, the author should develop their feelings more. Right now, Hotaka getting together with Masato would just feel forced.
i love him and Chika, because it's painfully clear he has always loved him. Given an actual chance, i think he would of ended up loving Chika back.
Right now, i think Masato is being a shitty person. You and your wife JUST decided to separate. You haven't even told your daughter or your friends yet. and your friend, who just got his heart broken, asked you to leave Hotaka alone. and you wouldn't even give him that. He's your friend too, and you didn't even give him a word of comfort. then immediately trying to make a move thing, when other things aren't even settled and not considering how your daughter will feel, just pisses me off. (can you tell i'm a child of divorce? lol)
