Honestly didn't like season 2. The conflicts were dragged on and the story of the 2nd couple interfered too much on the actual story and that also felt like it was dragged on too much. I quite liked Hongyeon in season 1 but in this season, he was just too unreasonable and annoying. The nail in the coffin was the surprise moving in together, like what.

Yeah the seme's not the worst out there, but that doesn't mean people can't get mad at him. BL readers are too used to very toxic mfs so seeing an asshole wouldn't even make them bat an eye and act like he's not bad. He is bad, you're just desensitized. He's an asshole, people hate assholes. He doesn't have to be the worst one to be hated.(; ̄^ ̄)ん~

It's been a long while since I've come across an isekai story that's this good. I love the storytelling so much, I can't remember how much I shed a tear whenever her past life or the Duke's regrets were brought up and I love how it shows how hard it actually is to move on from your regretful decisions in life. Most stories by this time would be all sunshine and rainbows because they've moved on just like that, but it's not realistic, how this story progressed is more realistic. It takes a long time to come to terms with your decisions that you regret in life, especially if it involves the demise of someone else and showing Shelina and the Duke's perspectives really showed that. I just love it so much, it made me feel things very deeply, I can't wait for the next season, should've let this marinate some more before reading it. (╥ω╥`)

Ngl, I don't think I'll ever like the mother, both because of her past decisions and maybe because she isn't the main character so she isn't seen as much so my affection for her doesn't grow. Only Lyrica can forgive her cause she's kind hearted and she's her mother, but I am not kind hearted nor is she my mother so I hate her even now. It also doesn't even feel like she's atoning for her sins, she barely interacts with Lyrica and is more focused on her plans. Of course the plan is for the both of them yada yada, still, would it kill her to give Lyrica the time of day or bond with her, not just give superficial gifts?

I've generally lost interest in isekai victorian shoujo/josei manhwas since they're very redundant but something about this manhwa made me more entertained and not bored. ( ╹▽╹ ) So far, none of the main characters are acting annoying or too out of character which might be why I don't hate it. Sarah is also very level headed and she has flaws but pushes through the challenges which makes her a great character. Cause I feel like in most manhwas they make the FL too "badass" for a "strong female lead" but the FLs are just too OP or the execution of them being "badass" is too simple, like they're not smart, the villains are just too dumb to outsmart them. So far, there's none of that here.
I feel like ML is so sure that they'll work out that he can't understand how anxious MC is. ML brushes his worries off cause he can't relate to it, he can't put himself in MC's shoes because he is that confident that they love each other so much. Unfortunately, what MC needs is reassurance, constant reassurance not just simple "dw it'll work out, trust me babe." due to his past relationship, like he also tried his best in his past rs but still failed, he trusted and shi but after being separated for a few months with his ex (due to enlistment) they broke up. Idk if ML just forgot about that part that's why he doesn't understand why MC is uneasy. ML is so frustrating, like dude don't just shut off the convo.
